Keratoscopic evaluation lens (A non-powered, diagnostic, ophthalmic manual instrument with lenses intended to be used to assess the curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea to determine degree of astigmatism. It consists of a hand-held instrument with a linear series of increasingly elliptical lenses corresponding to increasing degrees of astigmatism, whereby the degree of astigmatism is determined by the lens (calibrated in dioptres) that causes the reflected image on the cornea to be most circular, upon visual evaluation by a clinician.
