Antibody-coated coronary artery stent (A non-bioabsorbable metal tubular mesh externally coated with a layer of antibodies (a synthetic surface modification of bound monoclonal antibodies) intended to be implanted, using a delivery balloon catheter, into a coronary artery where it is expanded to maintain patency in patients with symptomatic ischemic coronary artery disease. The antibody coating is intended to accelerate natural healing after stent placement (e.g., by capturing circulating endothelial progenitor cells to promote rapid stent endothelialization and provide protection against thrombosis).
